Gillie and Marc have always had a strong connection to whales. About ten years ago they took their children whale watching in New Zealand. It was there they learned that in Maori culture the whale’s tail symbolises speed, strength, protection, and the bond between animal and man. Even though whales play a crucial role in the marine environment, over half of all whale species are endangered. Gillie and Marc hope people will wear this tail pendant as a reminder of its symbol of protection and the special bond between man and animal. Whales desperately need human protection and this bond must be repaired!
