Evergreen Orphan in London (Resin Sculpture)
Regular price
$475.00 AUD
Sale price
$400.00 AUD
Save $75.00 AUD
Description This orphaned elephant is making sure it stands out in the grey streets of London. Transforming from its traditional grey to a moss green, he is out to make sure everyone is paying attention. Every day, 55 elephants are killed because of ivory poaching and human-wildlife conflict. The death of just one elephant can lead to much wider devastation. Hundreds of calves are left orphaned every year, unable to care for themselves and suffering from the psychological trauma of having their mother violently taken from them. He needs to make sure that every Londoner hears his story to help protect him and his friends so that there will always be an elephant to love.
Artwork Features This sculpture has a faux grass finish on top of resin.
Resin is a mixture of materials including urethane, silicone, epoxy and polyester. When creating beautiful sculptures in resin, Gillie and Marc like to have a bit of fun. Sometimes works are crafted in one bold color, sometimes they are splashed with many colors, and sometimes they are even transparent.
For every purchase of a resin sculpture you will receive a certificate of authenticity, titled, signed, dated and editioned by the artists.
Care Instructions Resin sculptures are best kept indoors or under cover away from direct sunlight. They will require periodical maintenance. We recommend not placing your resin sculpture outside however, if you choose to do so, please be aware that wear and tear will occur. Medium Sterling silver ring Style Contemporary Jewellery, Animals, Romanticism
Description Gillie’s artistic tendencies started when she was a little girl living in Africa. She would draw pencil sketches of the wildlife in Zambia. Meanwhile, as a boy Marc would frequently visit Melbourne Zoo with his father so he could paint all the animals there. When the artists first met they stayed up all night talking about art and adventure. They quickly realised that they were kindred spirits. Dogman and Rabbitgirl are also kindred spirits. They fell for each other hard and fast. After the initial excitement wore off, they discovered they loved each other more than they thought was possible. Dogman and Rabbitgirl bring out the best in one another, because they are the perfect fit. Artwork Features Imagine if we could wear our art so close to our souls that we end up embodying its beauty and meaning. Gillie and Marc have always appreciated creative pieces of jewellery, so it was only a matter of time before they decided to think outside the jewellery box and take jewellery to a whole new level by turning it into art wear.
Gillie and Marc’s gorgeous range of art wear is handcrafted from the highest quality of hypoallergenic materials. And as a beautiful bonus, a percentage of profits goes to various notable charities to protect animals in need. So embody your art, and buy jewellery that can change the world forever.
Gillie and Marc’s sterling silver is made of 92.5% pure silver + 7.5% alloys (a mixture of metals: brass, copper and zinc). It is nickel free.
Care Instructions Clean your silver jewellery with a mild soap and water and then dry with a soft cloth. For more stubborn dirt, use a cleaner designed for silver use. Store your silver in a cool, dry place. Do not rub silver with anything other than a polishing cloth. Tissue paper or paper towels can cause scratches.

Medium Sterling silver antler bracelet Style Contemporary Jewellery, Wildlife, Nature
Description When Gillie and Marc lived in Westchester New York they had a wild white-tailed deer wander into their garden. The male deer took them completely by surprise and they found it completely mesmerising, especially his majestic antlers. White-tailed bucks regrow their antlers every year. Their antlers shed after they have finished mating. This felt very relatable to Gillie and Marc who move houses each year and believe in fresh new starts. The particular buck who wandered into their garden also had asymmetrical antlers. They artists have always been inspired by the idea of finding perfection in our imperfections. Artwork Features Imagine if we could wear our art so close to our souls that we end up embodying its beauty and meaning. Medium Sterling silver earrings Style Contemporary Jewellery, Animals, Romanticism
Description Ear piercings are one of the oldest known forms of body modifications. Earrings can be dated back as far as ancient Persia, ancient Egypt and has even been referenced in the bible. Having your ears pierced is also a coming-of-age ritual in various cultures all over the world. When Marc was 20 and living in Israel he asked his friend to pierce four holes in his right ear. Marc made all his own jewellery and would mix up the colours and materials. When he took his first corporate job, he decided to take out his earrings, but he still can be seen wearing them from time to time. Artwork Features Imagine if we could wear our art so close to our souls that we end up embodying its beauty and meaning. Description We believe that you can fall in love with the same person, over and over again. It's true for us at least, we fall in love again every single day! Dogman and Rabbitwoman also like to fall in love over and over. And for them, the best way to do this is on a vespa.
Artwork Features The purest example of the artist’s freehand work, Gillie and Marc’s ‘Contemporary Line & Stencil Paintings’ are a stunning series that pairs unashamedly bold colors with deep black line work to form intimate moments featuring their signature alter egos, endangered wildlife and more. The carefully selected vivid colors and unmistakable imagery means no two pieces are alike and can have multiple meanings the more they are viewed. Gillie and Marc paint each unique canvas side-by-side ensuring love is engrained in every brushstroke of each one-of-a-kind work of art. Recently inspired by the pop style of Andy Warhol and the iconic stencils of street artists Banksy and Mr. Brainwash, Gillie and Marc expanded their collection with the edgy addition of using spray paint stencils on their canvases. The stark contrast of bright colors beneath a dark stencil breathes life into this limited series, embodying Gillie and Marc’s philosophy of the importance of accessible art by playfully bringing the street to the canvas.
Please note: All canvases come stretched and ready to hang, however if you would like your painting to be framed, Gillie and Marc are happy to provide this service for you at your request. For framing enquiries please email us.
Care Instructions It is important to keep your painting out of direct sunlight and not to lean anything against the surface of the canvas. If it gets dusty, it can be cleaned with a soft dry cloth.
