Johannes Pannekoek has won the $60,000 Aqualand sculpture award for Change Ahead, a one-tonne artwork made of corten steel, which he says is inspired by the non-linear nature of life. The Perth-based artist drove the award-winning sculpture across the Nullarbor over four days to include it in the 20th annual Sculpture by the Sea exhibition in Sydney. The exhibition features 104 sculptures from artists across the world installed along the Bondi to Tamarama coastal walk
• Sculpture by the Sea is a free exhibition that runs until 6 November
