Description
"Honey, the facing Himalayan brown bear," unfolds as a poignant painting, capturing the essence of strength and vulnerability in the animal kingdom. The focal point of the painting is a powerful Himalayan brown bear, its imposing figure confronting the viewer with a regal intensity. The artist skillfully uses bold strokes to highlight the bear's majestic stature, emphasizing its resilience in the face of environmental challenges. Behind this formidable creature, a delicate dance of moving silhouettes in pastel hues unfolds, subtly symbolizing the gradual disappearance of these magnificent animals. The interplay between the bear's unwavering gaze and the gentle, fading shadows serves as a visual metaphor for the increasing threats faced by these creatures. "Honey" beckons viewers to reflect on the urgent need for conservation, underscoring the fragile coexistence between the strength of wildlife and the impermanence of their existence in the modern world.

Artwork Features
In this highly expressive and passionate style Gillie and Marc have let their emotions run free in this explosive collection of freehand painting. Inspired by the styles of Brett Whiteley, Francis Bacon, and Jean-Michel Basquiat, Gillie and Marc have combined enamel paint with oil pastel to breathe life into the worlds most endangered species. Over the past five years, Gillie and Marc spent hours sketching and studying wildlife, travelling the globe to meet these animals up close. These sketches have now been brought to life in vibrant colour with love and passion. Each painting is created as a team with both the artists bringing their own emotion into every painting.
