Description
In order to fly, we often need someone on the ground who we know has our back. They’re there to encourage us to soar higher, to lift us up to gain new heights, or to catch us if we fall. These rhinos are doing just that. In a world where they are constantly hunted for their precious horns, worth their weight in gold on the black market, it is so important that there is someone on the ground to look out for them. For too long the rhino has been forced to fend for itself. But we can make a real difference, becoming the support they so desperately need and helping them to fly once more.

Description
We love rhinos. To us they hold a spiritual place in our hearts after having the life changing opportunity to work with them. From this, we developed an unstoppable desire to protect the remaining rhinos of the world, and the only way we can convince people to help us is to make them fall in love. With love comes action, and with action comes change. The world needs to love the rhinos so they can be saved and to flourish once more.

Description
Gillie and Marc’s Lost Dogs artworks represent the times we’ve all felt lost. The artists first came up with the Lost Dog concept in 2013 when they placed 100 Lost Dog sculptures in various locations around Sydney. Within a month, all but three of the sculptures were stolen. The Lost Dogs received a cult following and can still be found all over Sydney.

Dogman was on the hunt, the hunt for the perfect wave, only the big ones would do. It was his mission to be able to sink inside a tube, the water flowing all around him in a sparkling encasement, the sun peeping through the tunnel at the end. He knew it was hard to find, but someday he would make it.

Description
As Rabbitwoman and Dogman paddled around the gentle bays their minds drifted to all sorts of private thoughts. As their attention drew back to each other they were amazed (but really not that surprised) how perfectly in sync they had become. Each stroke was perfectly in time with the others, their boards facing exactly in the same direction. They knew this was another sign of how perfect they were for each other.

Description
Gillie and Marc were one of three artists commissioned to create a unique billboard mural as part of a series for the MINI Paceman. The mural ran as a billboard in Sydney and now resides at the MINI Gallery in Melbourne. The goal was to interpret the MINI Paceman with a new slant on things. Incorporating Dogman and Rabbitgirl into the artwork gave human characteristics to the iconic MINI and created the idea of a strange world where a dog and a rabbit would stop to take a photo of a MINI Paceman scooting down a red carpet. “We do like to have a lot of humour in our art,” said Gillie. “We like to have that fun element.” “It’s biographical,” explained Marc. “I’m the dog and Gillie’s the rabbit. We’re two complete opposites as a rabbit and a dog but we’re partners in life, and lovers even though we’re an unlikely couple. The MINI Paceman is an unlikely car but it’s changing the way we see cars.” The artists decided to create the car as a personality with Dogman and Rabbitgirl totally mesmerised by it. “The MINI Paceman is an icon and it’s going to be an icon for years to come,” said Marc. “It’s a fun car and the whole idea of the MINI is to go out and enjoy.”

Bondi Beach, Sydney
Description
Gillie and Marc were delighted to contribute a mural to the Bondi promenade as part of the Activated Walls project. Using their alter-egos Dogman and Rabbitwoman as subjects, Gillie and Marc were excited to give some love back to their town. Love is about sharing all that you have with someone, and even an unlikely couple like Dogman and Rabbitwoman can enjoy some ice blocks together at Bondi Beach. The location of this mural is important to the area, as Bondi is a neighbourhood made of people from all around the world and this artwork encourages togetherness and interactivity in a beautiful environment. Whether you call it an ice block, icy pole, iced lolly, ice pop, freeze pop or popsicle, we can all identify with enjoying a cold treat on hot day and it’s always better with someone special.

Description
In 2015, Gillie and Marc jumped at the chance to join world famous street artists such as Lister, Mulga and Birdhat bring their work to Bondi as part of the Activated Walls Project. On the first Monday of every month, both established and emerging artists are invited to paint murals on various Bondi locations as a way to breathe life into urban environments. As Bondi locals themselves, Gillie and Marc loved playing tribute to sunshine, waves and buff bodies. They painted their iconic Dogman and Rabbitgirl on the popular Italian café, La Piadina. Owner, Fausto Zizioli personally wrote to them, “Thank you! Firstly it was a great pleasure to meet you in person. We really love the soul you put on our walls.” Even though their mural has been painted over to make way for more artists to join in, one of Gillie and Marc’s Lost Dogs sculptures proudly sits on top of the café wall, where he spends countless days soaking up the rays, people watching. Read their blog post for a behind-the-scenes look on how the created the work and hear Gillie and Marc's thoughts on the project.
