About the Exhibition:
Gillie and Marc’s Wildlife Wonderscapes makes a striking statement at Hamad International Airport (HIA) in Doha, where art, travel, and conservation converge. As a permanent installation, this series transforms the airport into an unexpected sanctuary — offering travelers a moment of reflection and wonder amid their journey.

Part of their globally acclaimed public art series, Wildlife Wonderscapes celebrates the artists’ signature approach to environmental storytelling. The collection features interactive bronze sculptures that spotlight endangered animals and speak to the urgency of wildlife preservation. Adapted with distinct Qatari elements — including representations of native species and cultural motifs — the works bridge global conservation concerns with local identity.

Passengers are encouraged to physically interact with the sculptures, forming personal connections with the animals they depict. This hands-on experience transforms the airport terminal into a living gallery, where art becomes a powerful tool for education, empathy, and environmental action.

At the heart of the series is a message of hope: a vision for a world where endangered animals can thrive and humans play a role in protecting nature. The exhibition aligns with Gillie and Marc’s ongoing Love The Last initiative — a global campaign to raise awareness for the world's most vulnerable species.

With over 70% of global wildlife lost in the last half-century, Wildlife Wonderscapes invites each viewer to pause, connect, and ask: what can I do to help protect our shared future?
