If you want to see the exhibition opening at Linton and Kay Galleries it will cost you – the princely sum of one kiss.

It’s an entirely appropriate fee considering that it’s Valentine’s Day and the exhibition in questions, by artists Gillie and Marc Schattner, is titled Kiss Me.

If the Schattners aren’t recognisable by name, there’s a good chance you’ve seen their work, the dog-headed man and rabbit-headed girl on a tandem bike, which stands on the corner of Vincent and Beaufort streets in Mt Lawley.

Similarly hybridised characters abound in the pair’s latest exhibition as they explore the power of the humble kiss, something they know full well having started their relationship with a kiss before getting married in the foothills of Mt Everest just seven days later.
