Description
"Big in New York" is a striking mixed media painting that challenges our perceptions of the urban landscape. A colossal elephant, rendered in a realistic yet surreal style, towers over the iconic cityscape of New York City. The contrast between the gentle giant and the bustling metropolis creates a sense of wonder and awe. The painting invites viewers to consider the fragility of nature in the face of human progress and the unexpected beauty that can arise from such juxtapositions.

Artwork Features
In this highly expressive and passionate style Gillie and Marc have let their emotions run free in this explosive collection of freehand painting. Inspired by the styles of Brett Whiteley, Francis Bacon, and Jean-Michel Basquiat, Gillie and Marc have combined enamel paint with oil pastel to breathe life into the worlds most endangered species. Over the past five years, Gillie and Marc spent hours sketching and studying wildlife, travelling the globe to meet these animals up close. These sketches have now been brought to life in vibrant colour with love and passion. Each painting is created as a team with both the artists bringing their own emotion into every painting.

Please note: All canvases come stretched and ready to hang, however if you would like your painting to be framed, Gillie and Marc are happy to provide this service for you at your request. For framing enquiries please email us.

Care Instructions
It is important to keep your painting out of direct sunlight and not to lean anything against the surface of the canvas. If it gets dusty, it can be cleaned with a soft dry cloth.
