Description With a full heart, Dogman and Rabbitwoman looked into each other’s eyes. Nothing could have prepared them for what happened. Hundreds of butterflies flew out of the hands, all perfect and beautiful, flying in formation in a scene the two could never have imagined. When they saw the shape the butterflies made they knew their love had created something extraordinary.
Artwork Features Sending you to a world of luxury and opulence, this range of gold leaf paintings shows Rabbitwoman and Dogman at their finest. Inspired by the ancient methods of gold leaf and the more contemporary styles of Gustav Klimt, Gillie and Marc are showing the loving journeys of their favourite muses with an extra bit of sparkle. Gold leaf sheets are carefully laid onto the canvas, brushed, and smoothed out, adding a wonderful, glittery effect to its surface. Gillie and Marc believe that every moment can be a luxury. This idea is brought to life in these paintings, with even the simplest moments becoming incredible.
Please note: All canvases come stretched and ready to hang, however if you would like your painting to be framed, Gillie and Marc are happy to provide this service for you at your request. For framing enquiries please email us.
Care Instructions It is important to keep your painting out of direct sunlight and not to lean anything against the surface of the canvas. Handle with clean, dry hands as oil from the skin will mark the gold leaf. If it gets dusty, it can be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth.

Description As soon as it starts to get dark and everyone else goes to sleep the leopard starts its day. She loved it when the only light came from the moon and the stars, casting a faint glimmer on the world. Her eyes were perfect for this, pupils dilated to the size of gigantic orbs. She roamed around, enjoying the silence and solitude. This was her idea of the perfect night out.

Description Born and raised in Melbourne, the culturally vibing hub of Australia has a special spot in Marc’s heart. With life and colour coming out of every tile, tram and sidewalk, this city is a go-to for Rabbitwoman and Dogman whenever they need artistic inspiration.
Artwork Features Gillie and Marc’s latest work is an exciting explosion between their painting and sculpture. With a love for both 2D and 3D work they have created a unique style of work which are in essence sculptured paintings.
Gillie and Marc spent a lot of their early creative life in Ubud, Bali. This was the home of painted wood carvings. They began to collect many Balinese wood carvings and learned how to artistically paint wood. Over the years they experimented in relief woodcuts looking to give it a contemporary feel. Much of their inspiration is looking at traditional art forms like bronze sculpture and wood carving and then creating ways to make it contemporary.
They are excited and proud to introduce their latest and favourite collection “Woodcut POP". These are carved wooden panels primed and sealed and then painted with a pop gloss enamel. These vibrant and exciting works allow the 2D paintings to fly off the wall giving excitement and dimension to wall art. Rabbitgirl and Dogman literally pop off the wall in a 3D effect. The modern explosion of colour and vibrancy is contemporary art at its cutting edge.
Galleries, collectors and corporates across the globe have already fallen in love with Woodcut POP with 10 major commissions now in progress.
Care Instructions It is important to keep your painting out of direct sunlight and not to lean anything against the surface of the wood. If it gets dusty, it can be cleaned with a soft dry cloth.

The leopard was willing to do anything to survive, staring its fate in the eyes. Even though its prey was becoming scarce because of the bushmeat trade, its habitat disappearing from the ever-nearing humans, and its friends being draped across the backs of rich people, it would not lie down and make it easier for the humans to take over. With their prey becoming scarce due to the trade in bushmeat, their habitat disappearing with the ever encroaching humans and their fur being draped across the backs of rich people, the leopard however will not lie down. There’s a powerful energy in the leopard that is not easily extinguished.

The community first found him there on the 6th of March when approaching the well to water their livestock. They left and returned the following day thinking that he might have managed to escape and be reunited with his natal herd, but too fearful to attempt to extract him. On their return on the 7th of March, the stranded, exhausted, and now injured calf remained stricken in the well. His desperate ongoing attempts to free himself left him with busies and a rubbed raw back from struggling against the jagged well sides. Now, Ngilai is living happily at the Sheldrick Wildlife Fund. He may have lost his herd but this little elephant has enough love to push through anything.

Description The animals of the world are facing so much adversity. And it’s because of us. Rabbitwoman and Dogman couldn’t bear to see their friends suffering in this way. They called a meeting and explained their plan to their friends. Off they went, Rabbitwoman and Dogman leading the way on their Vespa, to a place they could all be safe together. They were leaving it all behind and moving towards a better future.

The stark contrast of bright colors beneath a dark stencil breathes life into this limited series, embodying Gillie and Marc’s philosophy of the importance of accessible art by playfully bringing the street to the canvas.

Description Rabbitwoman and Dogman love to travel. They wanted to go everywhere. They wanted to go to Paris, to Budapest, to Nairobi, to Honolulu! There was a lot to cover so they set off at once to complete their circumnavigation of the world. Today they were in Pisa and it was everything they had dreamed of and more.

Artwork Features The purest example of the artist’s freehand work, Gillie and Marc’s ‘Contemporary Line & Stencil Paintings’ are a stunning series that pairs unashamedly bold colors with deep black line work to form intimate moments featuring their signature alter egos, endangered wildlife and more. The carefully selected vivid colors and unmistakable imagery means no two pieces are alike and can have multiple meanings the more they are viewed. Gillie and Marc paint each unique canvas side-by-side ensuring love is engrained in every brushstroke of each one-of-a-kind work of art. Recently inspired by the pop style of Andy Warhol and the iconic stencils of street artists Banksy and Mr. Brainwash, Gillie and Marc expanded their collection with the edgy addition of using spray paint stencils on their canvases. The stark contrast of bright colors beneath a dark stencil breathes life into this limited series, embodying Gillie and Marc’s philosophy of the importance of accessible art by playfully bringing the street to the canvas.

Description Ruth Bader Ginsburg is an American lawyer and jurist who is an Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. Ginsburg was appointed by President Bill Clinton and took the oath of office on August 10, 1993. She is the second female justice of four to be confirmed to the court.
Ginsburg was born inBrooklyn, New York. Her older sister died when she was a baby, and her mother, one of her biggest sources of encouragement, died shortly before Ginsburg graduated from high school. She then earned her bachelor's degree atCornell University, and became a wife and mother before starting law school at Harvard, where she was one of the few women in her class. Ginsburg transferred toColumbia Law School, where she graduated tied for first in her class. Following law school, Ginsburg turned to academia. She was a professor atRutgers Law Schooland Columbia Law School, teaching civil procedure as one of the few women in her field.
Ginsburg spent a considerable part of her legal career as an advocate for the advancement ofgender equalityandwomen's rights, winning multiple victories arguing before the Supreme Court. She advocated as a volunteer lawyer for theAmerican Civil Liberties Unionand was a member of its board of directors and one of its general counsels in the 1970s. In 1980, PresidentJimmy Carterappointed her to theU.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, where she served until her appointment to the Supreme Court. Ginsburg has received attention in American popular culture for her fiery liberal dissents and refusal to step down; she has been dubbed the "Notorious R.B.G." in reference to the rapperNotorious B.I.G.
Artists Gillie and Marc Schattner, on August 26, Women’s Equality Day 2019, are bringing to life a dream, the move towards equal representation in women statues.
In a moment of deep self-reflection, they realized they had been contributing to the lack of women representation in their public art. However, the artists decided they could not sit back and let history repeat itself. Something has to change, and so with their new project, ‘Statues for Equality’, they have self-funded ten new women statues.
Because of this project, New York is becoming the first city to change the dynamics considerably - as the ten women are launched as statues the number will jump from 3% to 9%. The project will launch at RXR Realty’s iconic Avenue of the Americas.
Joining ‘Statues for Equality’ are ten portraits of each woman in a groundbreaking new show that expresses diversity and gender equality. Exhibiting alongside their permanent statue sisters at 61 Broadway, NYC, they will be on show for the public for 12 months.
The women are painted on fabric from around the world, just as they as women represent the diversity of womankind, as does the soft materials that embody strength. Each piece has its own texture, shape, and feel.
The women’s faces are depicted in black and white, revealing the fine attention to detail from the artists; each line becomes part of the narrative of the portraits. However, their hair and clothes are full of colour and patterns. Flowing from the women they extend these versions and ideals of how women present themselves in society.
The use of fabric can take literal meaning; even though the material is soft, beautiful, and used as a way to express individuality. Fabric is also a carrier, babies are held close to us in wraps of material; goods and objects are transported for when we cannot hold everything; and it dresses us, for warmth and support.
The metaphor extends into the roles of women, and Gillie and Marc’s clever use of this medium, reminds us again, how important women are to our lives and the basis of society. Fabric is also another way to show our individuality.
Just as the ten women statues, made out of bronze, who will stand larger than life can teach us something about diversity and gender equality; as can these softer, tender moments of intimate and feminine representatives.
For the next 12 months, Gillie and Marc are aiming to paint 100 women, voted for by the public, who inspire greatness in our societies.
#womenforequality will become an extension of #statuesforequality – use the hashtag to vote for the most inspirational women you know, and take a photo with the paintings and statues to share Gillie and Marc’s message of equality.
Artwork Features Mixing two elements together, paint and fabric, these fabric paintings create a unique, 3-dimensional piece of art. With added texture, patterns, and depth from the fabrics, these paintings are transformed into something so much more exciting than a normal painting. Using beautiful fabrics from all over the world, these paintings are laced with fun, using patterns and colors in unusual places giving a different perspective on how things should look.

Description Artists Gillie and Marc Schattner, on August 26, Women’s Equality Day 2019, are bringing to life a dream, the move towards equal representation in women statues.

Description Recognizable across the world, Oprah Winfrey is a global media leader, philanthropist, producer, actress, author, and the world’s first black female billionaire. She has created an unparalleled connection with people around the world, making her one of the most respected and admired figures today.
Most loved as host of The Oprah Winfrey Show, for over 25 years Winfrey inspired people from all walks of life with her honest and emotional approach to entertainment, which she expanded into her television network, OWN, and O, The Oprah Magazine.
During a December 2002 visit with Nelson Mandela, Winfrey pledged to build a school in South Africa and has contributed more than $140 million toward providing education for academically gifted girls from disadvantaged backgrounds. Graduates of the school have continued on to higher education both in South Africa and at colleges and universities around the world. Winfrey is also a founding donor of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture. In June of 2018, the museum opened “Watching Oprah: The Oprah Winfrey Show and American Culture”, an exhibit exploring Winfrey’s life and her talk show’s impact, and featuring artifacts from the set, costumes from her movies, and interactive interviews.
In 2013, Winfrey was awarded the Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor. In 2018, she became the first African American woman to be honored with the Golden Globes’ Cecil B. DeMille Award.
Depicted in a fragrant peony, which is known in China as “the king of flowers” as well as a symbol of love, compassion, and prosperity, Winfrey stands proud within the petals as the undisputed queen of success in the face of adversity.

Description Perhaps the world’s most noted conservationist, Dame Jane Morris Goodall DBE is an English primatologist, anthropologist, and the world’s foremost expert on chimpanzees. Founder of the Jane Goodall Institute, Goodall is well regarded for the many decades of study she has done on social and family interactions of wild chimpanzees.
Unheard of at the time, Goodall began her solo study of endangered chimps in 1960 in Tanzania, despite having no collegiate training. Doing this resulted in Goodall observing the chimps in a subversive manner, publishing revolutionary findings, and becoming the only human to be accepted into a chimpanzee society.
Her honors include the Benjamin Franklin Medal of Life Science, the Tyler Prize for Environmental Achievement, and Japan’s prestigious Kyoto Prize. Goodall is also a UN messenger for peace, and an animal rights activist.
In Statues for Equality, Goodall is depicted in a thicket of forest foliage as a representation of her hands-on approach to research. Forest foliage plants rely on each other to survive, symbolizing how we must work together to protect endangered animals.

Description This 'Round and Around With Wildlife' collection jumps right at you! Combining painting and sculpture, Rabbitwoman, Dogman and all the endangered animals of the world to burst off the wall in vibrant colour, refusing to be ignored or forgotten, giving new life and hope for their survival. Creating some of the world’s most innovative public sculptures, Gillie and Marc are re-designing what public art should be, spreading messages of love, equality, and conservation around the world. As part of the Love The Last project, Gillie and Marc are using their cutting edge contemporary art to showcase the beautiful animals of the world, to encourage people to not overlook and forget them.

Description Rhinos once roamed the lands of Eurasia and Africa in plentiful numbers. Today these numbers have dwindled at an alarming rate and it is rare to see them outside of national parks. Our remaining wild places in the world are declining, and with them the wonderful creatures they are home to. This is mainly due to human actions, poaching and expansion of cities being the main culprits. This work is to remember what these beautiful wild places once were when the rhinos roamed these lands at peace. This is what we need to fight to protect and to regenerate before it’s too late.

As part of the Love The Last project, Gillie and Marc are using their cutting edge contemporary art to showcase the beautiful animals of the world, to encourage people to not overlook and forget them.

Description 'Love has no colour, no religion, no gender, and no reason why everyone can’t have it' Gillie and Marc. Love is universal and it’s for everyone. Our ‘XOXO’ series of sculptures and paintings celebrates love. On our paintings and sculptures we have used the XOXO graphic in an abstract fashion to show that love is with us even if it can’t clearly be seen. The XOXO we have painted in 12 different colours to show that love does not come in any one colour and the layering effect shows the depth of love itself. This is an important series of art for us as we cannot stand by while our friends are denied the right to love and be married. The XOXO series simply put means, 'Love is for everyone'. We hope you will support us on this.
