This orphaned elephant is making sure it stands out in the grey streets of London. Transforming from its traditional grey to splashes of colour or brilliant bronze, he is out to make sure everyone is paying attention. Every day, 55 elephants are killed because of ivory poaching and human-wildlife conflict. The death of just one elephant can lead to much wider devastation. Hundreds of calves are left orphaned every year, unable to care for themselves and suffering from the psychological trauma of having their mother violently taken from them. He needs to make sure that every Londoner hears his story to help protect him and his friends so that there will always be an elephant to love.

Their ivory tusks have always been a pull for poachers. But in war times, elephant poaching is even more rampant, their tusks sold off to buy resources to fuel the war effort. Now, the elephant is the victory. He has taken out the tank and created peace for us all.

Description
This is a mini replica of an African Elephant in the monumental public sculpture Love The Last March. All the animals in the march are so very different yet they face the same threats. They march together in the hope that they will all be able to live with dignity.

Inspired by the witness statement and latest documentary by David Attenborough, Love The Last March is on a mission to re-wild the world. The public sculpture experience is the largest bronze sculpture in the world at 192 meters in length, the next largest being the Statue of Unity at 182 meters. Depicting the greatest animal march on the planet, it features 45 of the world’s most endangered species, marching together to save the animal kingdom.

Love The Last March will be displayed at Gardens by the Bay in Singapore from May 2023 - May 2024.

Stopping to learn more about them they discovered these calves had lost their mothers to poachers and desperately needed help. Rabbitwoman and Dogman didn’t have to think twice. They adopted the whole herd, becoming their new parents and pledging to protect them forever.
