"Amur Leopard Loves Living" is a thought-provoking painting that portrays the endangered Amur leopard in a state of serene relaxation, lounging gracefully over an oversized, red designer handbag. The juxtaposition of the majestic leopard against the extravagant handbag symbolizes the delicate balance between nature and human influence. It serves as a powerful reminder of the impact of our actions on endangered species, highlighting the conflict between materialistic desires and the preservation of our planet's biodiversity. The painting prompts us to reflect on our role in the conservation of these magnificent creatures, urging us to make conscious choices that prioritize the coexistence and well-being of all living beings.
In this highly expressive and passionate style Gillie and Marc have let their emotions run free in this explosive collection of freehand painting. Inspired by the styles of Brett Whiteley, Francis Bacon, and Jean-Michel Basquiat, Gillie and Marc have combined enamel paint with oil pastel to breathe life into the worlds most endangered species. Over the past five years, Gillie and Marc spent hours sketching and studying wildlife, travelling the globe to meet these animals up close. These sketches have now been brought to life in vibrant colour with love and passion. Each painting is created as a team with both the artists bringing their own emotion into every painting.
Please note: All canvases come stretched and ready to hang, however if you would like your painting to be framed, Gillie and Marc are happy to provide this service for you at your request. For framing enquiries please email us.
