We're creating a new series of bronze works featuring our favourite Aussie animals, so of course we wanted to experiment with Australia's quintessential animal - the Kangaroo. Kangarooboy was modelled off our son Ben who is very athletic and has the perfect physique to show off the Red Kangaroos strength and power. We also got him to pose in the iconic way that the big reds like to laze about in the sun. Young male Red Kangaroos are also notorious for being boxers, so our Kangarooboy wears his boxers as a tongue-in-cheek nod to his unique animal behaviour.
