Description
This captivating painting portrays an endangered leopard emerging from a beautifully decorated giant teapot, carrying a rich symbolism and powerful message. The leopard, with its endangered status, represents the fragility and vulnerability of our planet's wildlife. The fact that it emerges from a teapot, a symbol of comfort, warmth, and domesticity, adds a layer of contrast and intrigue. It begs us to question our own role in jeopardizing the habitat and existence of these magnificent creatures. The image symbolizes the urgency to confront the seemingly familiar and mundane aspects of our daily lives, as they are often closely intertwined with the consequences of our actions on the natural world. It reminds us that, just as the leopard emerges from the teapot, we can no longer ignore the impact we have on the environment. The painting compels us to recognize the imperative need for conservation and collective responsibility to protect endangered species and the delicate ecosystems they depend on.

Bringing all your favourite things to life, from that pair of converse sneakers you wear every day to your most precious teacup, and pairing them with some of the most endangered animals in the world, Gillie and Marc are giving a unique perspective on the things we consider to be most important. Inspired by pop artists such as Andy Warhol and mixed with beautifully realistic animals using their iconic thick texture painting style, this Pop Realism collection is bringing the wild into our lives in a striking yet joyous experience.
Over the past five years, Gillie and Marc spent hours sketching and studying wildlife, travelling the globe to meet these animals up close. These sketches have now been brought to life in vibrant colour with love and passion. Each painting is created as a team with both the artists bringing their own emotion into every painting.
