Description Rabbitwoman and Dogman loved being on the move. They loved zooming around the city. They found it so exciting to see the innovation and creativity erupting around them. They would often find a nice cafe and just sit, watching the excitement unfold around them. But as much as they loved moving around the city, they never lost their love for the wild. It was their dream to find a way to have these two worlds coexist as one, perfect ecosystem.
Artwork Features Gillie and Marc’s latest work is an exciting explosion between their painting and sculpture. With a love for both 2D and 3D work they have created a unique style of work which are in essence sculptured paintings.
Gillie and Marc spent a lot of their early creative life in Ubud, Bali. This was the home of painted wood carvings. They began to collect many Balinese wood carvings and learned how to artistically paint wood. Over the years they experimented in relief woodcuts looking to give it a contemporary feel. Much of their inspiration is looking at traditional art forms like bronze sculpture and wood carving and then creating ways to make it contemporary.
They are excited and proud to introduce their latest and favourite collection “Woodcut POP". These are carved wooden panels primed and sealed and then painted with a pop gloss enamel. These vibrant and exciting works allow the 2D paintings to fly off the wall giving excitement and dimension to wall art. Rabbitgirl and Dogman literally pop off the wall in a 3D effect. The modern explosion of colour and vibrancy is contemporary art at its cutting edge.
Galleries, collectors and corporates across the globe have already fallen in love with Woodcut POP with 10 major commissions now in progress.
Care Instructions It is important to keep your painting out of direct sunlight and not to lean anything against the surface of the wood. If it gets dusty, it can be cleaned with a soft dry cloth.

Description Sometimes feeling too much all at once can be a bit overwhelming, but for Rabbitwoman and Dogman, it was exhilarating. They loved the feeling of a thousand little tingles erupting all over their skin while at the same time feeling a beautiful sense of stillness. They loved the feeling of their heart racing while at the same time they were overwhelmed with an urge to laugh. The intensity of their love made this their reality and they were so happy for it.
Artwork Features The purest example of the artist’s freehand work, Gillie and Marc’s ‘Contemporary Line & Stencil Paintings’ are a stunning series that pairs unashamedly bold colors with deep black line work to form intimate moments featuring their signature alter egos, endangered wildlife and more. The carefully selected vivid colors and unmistakable imagery means no two pieces are alike and can have multiple meanings the more they are viewed. Gillie and Marc paint each unique canvas side-by-side ensuring love is engrained in every brushstroke of each one-of-a-kind work of art. Recently inspired by the pop style of Andy Warhol and the iconic stencils of street artists Banksy and Mr. Brainwash, Gillie and Marc expanded their collection with the edgy addition of using spray paint stencils on their canvases. The stark contrast of bright colors beneath a dark stencil breathes life into this limited series, embodying Gillie and Marc’s philosophy of the importance of accessible art by playfully bringing the street to the canvas.

Description On one of their trips to Africa (their favourite place in the whole world), Gillie and Marc went to visit the home of Karen Blixon, author of the memoir ‘Out of Africa’. Gillie and Marc were so inspired by the incredible plane trip Karen took with her lover, Denis Finch, after seeing it in the film 'Out of Africa'. They also wanted to feel that freedom, exposed to the elements with nature all around. On this trip, they got their chance and even flew in a very similar plane, a Tiger Moth. It was an exhilarating experience that has inspired them to be free for the rest of their lives. Here, Rabbitwoman and Dogman also take to the skies in a Tiger Moth plane. Ready to feel the rush of adrenaline, Dogman holds on tight while Rabbitwoman prepares herself with a nice cup of coffee.

Description ‘The happy snappers’ is a mix of two of Gillie and Marc’s most iconic sculptures, Paparazzi Dogs, and Rabbitwoman and Dogman.
Rabbitwoman and Dogman tell the autobiographical tale of two opposites coming together to become best friends and soul mates. As unlikely animal kingdom companions, the Rabbit and the Dog stand for diversity and acceptance through love.
The paparazzi dog were originally inspired by the words of Andy Warhol, “Everyone will be famous for 15 minutes”, and were created to give everyone their chance in the spotlight, to make everyone the celebrity they want to be. With Rabbitwoman standing on top of Dogmans shoulders, they both get their cameras ready. Rabbitwoman now joins Dogman on his mission to make everyone a star.

Description Rabbitwoman and Dogman always loved Australia but there was something about Sydney that they knew would always make them feel like they were home. They felt like they knew the city and the city knew them, welcoming them into a family of locals that they were so excited to join.

Description Every day was a holiday for Rabbitwoman and Dogman. They would spend the day at cute cafes, explore beautiful scenery, and watch the sunset from some beautiful location. Their secret is to find the holiday in the everyday. Of course, they would find time to go on some grand adventure. But they also found immense joy just in their own backyard. This way, they would be on holiday forever.

Description They had created a life they had no need to escape from, a slow start sipping coffee in the morning sun and golden hour glistening as far as the eyes can meet as their day comes to a close. As they rode their vespa under the dancing palm trees on their way home, they knew they had made a paradise together, they were on holidays forever.
Artwork Features Sending you to a world of luxury and opulence, this range of gold leaf paintings shows Rabbitwoman and Dogman and all wildlife at their finest. Inspired by the ancient methods of gold leaf and the more contemporary styles of Gustav Klimt, Gillie and Marc are showing the loving journeys of their favourite muses and all endangered wildlife with an extra bit of sparkle. Gold leaf sheets are carefully laid onto the canvas, brushed, and smoothed out, adding a wonderful, glittery effect to its surface. Gillie and Marc believe that every moment can be a luxury. This idea is brought to life in these paintings, with even the simplest moments becoming incredible.

Style Contemporary Figurative, Wildlife, Fashion Description There's something about the laid-back and hip streets of Amsterdam that's irresistible to Dogman and Rabbitwoman – and this time, they're taking to the scenic streets of the city on a bicycle. As they glide down the narrow cobblestone pathways, past canals glistening in the sun, the skyline of the city sprawling out before them like a painting, they feel as though nothing could be more serene or idyllic. They stop at street cafes, sipping rich espressos and nibbling on stroopwafels as they breathe in the sweet air of the city. In Amsterdam, Dogman and Rabbitwoman seem to slow down and embrace each moment for what it is, taking time at each step to slow down, discover new delights, and spend time with the locals, always exchanging their stories and sharing new adventures together. They realize that life truly is about the journey, and there's no place they'd rather be than on the streets of Amsterdam, two kindred spirits taking on new experiences and basking in the joy of life itself. But, their most favourite way to be in love was to hold on to each other tight, jump on their vespa and go for the ride of their life.

Description Their hearts were so full of love for each other they could practically feel the butterflies exploding from their chests. They knew their love could never fade, it was far too strong for that. They wanted to tell the world how in love they were, they were so happy.
Artwork Features Sending you to a world of luxury and opulence, this range of gold leaf paintings shows Rabbitwoman and Dogman at their finest. Inspired by the ancient methods of gold leaf and the more contemporary styles of Gustav Klimt, Gillie and Marc are showing the loving journeys of their favourite muses with an extra bit of sparkle.
Please note: All canvases come stretched and ready to hang, however if you would like your painting to be framed, Gillie and Marc are happy to provide this service for you at your request. For framing enquiries please email us.
Care Instructions It is important to keep your painting out of direct sunlight and not to lean anything against the surface of the canvas. Handle with clean, dry hands as oil from the skin will mark the gold leaf. If it gets dusty, it can be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth.
