Description The bronze sculpture The Downhill Penguin portrays a penguin precariously balanced on skis, its expression marked by worry as it races downhill in search of a refuge where the ice has not yet disappeared. This whimsical yet poignant figure embodies the tension between humor and urgency, using the unlikely image of a skiing penguin to draw attention to the very real threats of climate change. The skis symbolize adaptation—an unnatural tool the penguin must rely on in a rapidly changing environment—while its worried gaze reflects the uncertainty and displacement faced by countless species as habitats vanish. Ultimately, the sculpture serves as a metaphor for humanity’s own precarious descent: a reminder that, like the penguin, we are hurtling downhill and must act swiftly if we hope to reach stability before the ground beneath us melts away.

Description Strike a pose, you’re on camera!
The Eastern Lowland gorilla was a great shot. He knew how to find the best angle, make the light work in his favour, and ensure his target was perfect. Today he is using his skills for change. Since 1995, the population size of his species has dropped by 77%. Together with Dogman, they show the world that the best shot is with a camera, never a gun.
Dogman is part of the iconic hybrid duo who tell the autobiographical tale of two opposites coming together as best friends and soul mates. These beloved hybrid characters work as our conduit with wildlife, helping us find joy in nature and rekindle our connection with the wild. In the last 50 years, 70% of the world’s wildlife has been lost. We must act now to save them.

The Elephant Bench of Friendship (Bronze Sculpture)
Description A captivating bronze sculpture bench invites the public into a moment of connection and reflection as an endangered African elephant sits at one end of the bench, calmly sipping a cup of coffee. On the opposite side, Rabbitwoman turns the pages of a book while Dogman lifts his own cup of coffee. Between them, a large open space awaits the public — an invitation to take a seat in the heart of this gathering and share in the exchange. The elephant represents wisdom, memory, and the profound vulnerability of one of the world’s most iconic species. Its relaxed act of drinking coffee places it in a setting of everyday comfort, blurring the lines between human and animal worlds. Rabbitwoman and Dogman — Gillie and Marc’s beloved Wildlife Warriors — mirror this sense of companionship, each absorbed yet connected: one reading, one sipping, both engaged in quiet dialogue with the elephant. Their gestures remind us that friendship and understanding are built not only through grand gestures but also through life’s simplest, shared rituals. By taking a seat between the elephant and the Wildlife Warriors, people step directly into the narrative of coexistence, recognizing themselves as part of the story of conservation. The Elephant Bench of Friendship becomes more than a seat — it is a celebration of wisdom, kinship, and the urgent need to protect elephants before their presence is reduced to memory and myth.
Sculpture Title The Elephant Bench of Friendship
Animal Name Name goes here Conservation Status Endangered
About the African Elephant The African elephant is the largest land animal on Earth, found across sub-Saharan Africa in habitats ranging from dense forests to open savannas. There are two main species—the savanna elephant and the smaller forest elephant—each adapted to its environment. Known for their massive ears, which help regulate body temperature, and their long trunks used for feeding, drinking, and communication, African elephants are highly intelligent and social animals that live in matriarchal family groups led by an older female.
These gentle giants play a crucial ecological role as “ecosystem engineers,” shaping landscapes by dispersing seeds, creating water holes, and maintaining open grasslands. However, African elephants face severe threats from poaching for ivory, habitat loss, and human–wildlife conflict as agricultural land expands into their ranges. Climate change is also reducing water availability, forcing elephants to travel longer distances and increasing conflict with people. Conservation initiatives—including anti-poaching patrols, wildlife corridors, and community-based conservation programs—have helped stabilize some populations, but the species remains under pressure. Protecting African elephants is vital not only for their survival but also for preserving the health and balance of Africa’s wild ecosystems.
How to Help Inspired by animals that Gillie and Marc met on their travels, we invite the public to discover and interact with these beautiful creatures up close and personal – this allows audiences to connect, take photographs and share their favourite species with friends and family.
With more exposure comes more awareness and builds on the love we already have for animals around the world. With love comes a greater sense of urgency to create a change and save all endangered animals.
The sculpture will be aligned with the hashtag #GillieandMarc and #LoveTheLast to raise unparalleled awareness about the sculpture’s cause across the globe.

Description We believe that all living creatures deserve a world where they are safe and free to live with dignity. Too often, elephants have been forced into danger—poached for their ivory, driven from their homes, and made to hide from the very world they should belong to.
In The Elephant Came Out to See the World, we imagine a different future. Here, the elephant slowly rises up from a manhole, not into fear, but into hope. It is stepping into a world where it will not be hunted, where safety is not a privilege, but a right.
This sculpture reminds us that we must build such a world—not just for elephants, but for all beings. A place where they can emerge from hiding, stretch into the light, and find not danger, but welcome.

Description This sculpture features a big tank. But here to save the day is a beautiful great elephant, crushing the tank to useless metal and leaving the world a little bit safer.
The elephant is symbolic on many levels. Elephants are one of the most iconic creatures on the planet, and also the largest. Its crushing weight shows physically the power of the natural world, yet also its importance. An elephant will always be worth more than a piece of machinery. Killing animals for the sake of war is one of the most senseless acts imaginable.
Yet it’s also a symbol of triumph. Elephants are one animal that has been massively impacted by the many wars that have raged through their homes. Their ivory tusks have always been a pull for poachers. But in war times, elephant poaching is even more rampant, their tusks sold off to buy resources to fuel the war effort. Now, the elephant is the victory. He has taken out the tank and created peace for us all.

Description We love making stacks out of the things we love best, totem poles that show our hearts in fun and colour. At the top of this stack sits the beautiful elephant. We have always loved elephants and have sworn to protect them. For Gillie this oath began as a little girl after she saw a mother elephant gunned down by poachers, a moment that will stay with her forever. As we created the stack, adding in our love of photography and delicious pears, it got us wondering, what would an elephant’s stack look like? It would probably include lots of food and the members of its herd. But on the top of the stack, the thing that is most important in its heart would be the desire to be safe and loved, free from the threat of poachers. Let’s strive for a world where this is an elephant’s reality, not its dream.

Description The koala has always been beloved by the world, but the 2019-20 Australian bushfires elevated their story to the entire world and stole their hearts. 80% of its habitat, which was already rapidly disappearing, was destroyed and thousands of koalas were lost. Some were luckier, like the now-famous mother and daughter who were captured in a magical photograph that was shared across the globe as a symbol of love and hope. It captured the moment when the two koalas had escaped the danger of the flames and embraced each other on the side of the road. It is such a tender moment, filled with love but still expressing the fear that came with the flames. This photograph captured the hearts of the world. And it also captured ours.
On the anniversary of the 2019-20 Australian bushfires, we released this special sculpture based on the famous photo. Crafted in everlasting bronze, we have captured this moment as a tribute to all the wildlife that were lost in the flames and a reminder for us all of the importance of conservation and climate change if we are to protect our precious animals. Now you can take this limited-edition sculpture home with you as a symbol of solidarity with all Australian wildlife.

Description The best thing about being a family is that you will always be together. Rabbitwoman and Dogman were so thrilled to see their little family grow to four. It filled them with so much joy to share their lives with these tiny versions of themselves. The four of them have the most incredible bond, never wanting to be apart for too long and travelling to all the cities that they loved together.
Artwork Features Gillie and Marc’s latest work is an exciting explosion between their painting and sculpture. With a love for both 2D and 3D work they have created a unique style of work which are in essence sculptured paintings.
Gillie and Marc spent a lot of their early creative life in Ubud, Bali. This was the home of painted wood carvings. They began to collect many Balinese wood carvings and learned how to artistically paint wood. Over the years they experimented in relief woodcuts looking to give it a contemporary feel. Much of their inspiration is looking at traditional art forms like bronze sculpture and wood carving and then creating ways to make it contemporary.
They are excited and proud to introduce their latest and favourite collection “Woodcut POP". These are carved wooden panels primed and sealed and then painted with a pop gloss enamel. These vibrant and exciting works allow the 2D paintings to fly off the wall giving excitement and dimension to wall art. Rabbitgirl and Dogman literally pop off the wall in a 3D effect. The modern explosion of colour and vibrancy is contemporary art at its cutting edge.
Galleries, collectors and corporates across the globe have already fallen in love with Woodcut POP with 10 major commissions now in progress.
Care Instructions It is important to keep your painting out of direct sunlight and not to lean anything against the surface of the wood. If it gets dusty, it can be cleaned with a soft dry cloth.

The Flamingo Bench of Friendship (Bronze Sculpture)
Description A captivating bronze sculpture bench invites the public into a lively moment of companionship as two lesser flamingos, a species listed as Near Threatened, sit gracefully at the center of the bench. On either side, Rabbitwoman and Dogman join them, each raising a cocktail in celebration. The quartet, gathered together in playful harmony, transforms a simple toast into a powerful symbol of unity. The flamingos, with their elegant forms and vibrant presence, embody beauty, balance, and the delicate ecosystems of the wetlands. Their presence side by side emphasizes community and togetherness, a reminder that survival is often a collective effort, both in the animal world and in conservation itself. Rabbitwoman and Dogman — Gillie and Marc’s iconic Wildlife Warriors — mirror the flamingos’ gesture, their raised glasses symbolizing solidarity and shared joy. The Flamingo Bench of Friendship becomes more than a resting place — it is a symbol of elegance, kinship, and the call to safeguard fragile wetlands and the extraordinary species who bring them to life. With space on either side of the bench, the public is invited to join the gathering, lifting an imaginary glass in a shared pledge to care for nature. The Flamingo Bench of Friendship becomes more than a seat — it is a symbol of elegance, unity, and the urgent need to protect the fragile wetlands and the vibrant creatures who depend on them.
Sculpture Title The Flamingo Bench of Friendship
Animal Name Name goes here Conservation Status Near Threatened
About the Lesser Flamingo The lesser flamingo is the smallest and most numerous of all flamingo species, found mainly in the saline lakes of eastern and southern Africa, as well as parts of India. Recognized by its deep pink plumage, slender build, and black-tipped bill, it is uniquely adapted to feed on microscopic algae and cyanobacteria that thrive in alkaline waters. Using its specialized bill, the lesser flamingo filters food by pumping water through fine lamellae, a process that gives the species its characteristic downward-facing feeding posture.
Despite their large numbers, lesser flamingos face significant threats. Their breeding sites are few and highly sensitive—most notably Lake Natron in Tanzania, where the majority of the global population nests. Disturbance, pollution, water extraction, and industrial development near these lakes can cause entire colonies to abandon their nests. Climate change and fluctuating water levels also threaten the stability of their habitats. Conservation efforts now focus on protecting key breeding sites, maintaining water quality, and monitoring population trends. Safeguarding these fragile ecosystems is crucial to ensuring that the vast pink flocks of lesser flamingos continue to grace Africa’s salt lakes for generations to come.

Description This incredible sculpture comes with a powerful message. It was inspired by Gillie and Marc's trip to Kenya to visit the last three northern white rhinos on earth, who humans have poached to imminent extinction. The artists have dedicated their lives to creating a legacy of these rhinos through their art, with the aims of raising critical awareness to save future species. It represents both the struggle and hope that remains, and is a smaller replica of the world’s biggest rhino sculpture that the artists installed in NYC in 2018.

The Galapagos Tortoise Races on Roller Skates (Bronze Sculpture)
Description This endearing and imaginative bronze sculpture brings together the ancient, slow-moving charm of the Galapagos tortoise with the lively spirit of roller-skating. The artwork depicts a stately Galapagos tortoise, its sturdy legs outfitted with a pair of retro roller skates, symbolizing resilience in the face of accelerating change. Adding to its appeal, the sculpture invites direct interaction: members of the public are encouraged to sit atop the tortoise and “ride” along, creating a playful yet poignant connection to the conservation message. This interactive element transforms viewers from passive observers into participants, highlighting the role humans must play in supporting and protecting these critically endangered animals. By placing the tortoise in the surreal scenario of roller-skating, the artist underscores the stark contrast between the timeless, enduring pace of nature and the rapid acceleration of modern life. The roller skates—emblems of speed and adaptability—juxtapose with the tortoise’s ancient form, inviting reflection on the pressures fast-moving environmental changes impose on species that evolve slowly. The result is a whimsical, thought-provoking piece that entertains while inspiring action for conservation.

About the Galapagos Tortoise
The Galápagos tortoise (Chelonoidis nigra complex) is one of the most iconic species of the Galápagos Islands, renowned for its massive size, long lifespan, and evolutionary significance. These tortoises were instrumental in shaping Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution, as their physical differences from island to island illustrated natural selection in action. Historically, hundreds of thousands of Galápagos tortoises roamed the archipelago, but their numbers plummeted due to overhunting by sailors, habitat destruction, and the introduction of invasive species such as rats, pigs, and goats that preyed on eggs and competed for food.
Today, it is estimated that around 15,000 Galápagos tortoises remain across several islands, divided into 13 recognized subspecies, some of which are still critically endangered. Intensive conservation and breeding programs, led by the Galápagos National Park and the Charles Darwin Foundation, have helped restore populations on islands like Española and Isabela. While their recovery is a conservation success story, ongoing efforts are crucial to protect their fragile ecosystems and ensure the long-term survival of these ancient giants.

The juxtaposition of the octopus, a symbol of grace, adaptability, and intricate intelligence, with the gritty and raw aesthetic of graffiti creates a rich visual paradox. This artwork serves as a powerful message, reminding us that even in the urban chaos, we must not forget the plight faced by endangered species. The octopus, with its immense vulnerability to habitat degradation and human activities, stands as a poignant representation of the delicate balance between human creativity and the natural world. The graffiti, representative of human expression and urban culture, urges viewers to question the impact of our actions on the environment and to consider how urbanization and industrialization can threaten the very existence of extraordinary creatures like the giant Pacific octopus. The painting calls upon our conscience to strive for harmonious coexistence, where creativity and artistry flourish alongside the safeguarding of our planet's biodiversity.

Sculpture Title The Giant Panda Races in the Convertible
Animal Name Name goes here Conservation Status Vulnerable
About the Giant Panda
The giant panda (Ailuropoda melanoleuca) is a bamboo-eating bear native to the mountainous forests of central China, known for its distinctive black-and-white coat and gentle temperament. It was once considered critically endangered due to severe habitat loss, deforestation, and its naturally low birth rate. The panda’s dependence on bamboo, which makes up nearly all of its diet, further limited its ability to adapt to environmental changes, leading to a sharp population decline during the 20th century.
Thanks to decades of intensive conservation efforts, including habitat protection, anti-poaching laws, and successful captive breeding programs, the wild population has slowly recovered. Today, there are about 1,860 pandas living in the wild and around 600 in captivity. Although its status has been upgraded to Vulnerable, the giant panda remains threatened by habitat fragmentation and climate change, which continue to endanger the bamboo forests it depends on for survival.

Description This painting is based off Gillie and Marc's monumental bronze installation depicting the greatest animal march on the planet, it will feature 60 of the world’s most endangered species led by a great mountain gorilla, one of our closest relatives, marching together to save the animal kingdom by re-wilding the world. Inspired by the witness statement and latest documentary by David Attenborough, this sculpture is on a mission to re-wild the world. For such a big and important issue there needs to be a big messenger. Therefore, this public sculpture experience will be the largest bronze sculpture in the world at 192 meters in length, the next largest being the Statue of Unity’ at 182 meters.
At the front of the march will be a great silverback mountain gorilla, the head of his family who will do anything to protect them. He reaches out his hand, inviting the public to take hold and join him as he marches to protect his wild family. Holding on to him will be a chimp and the rest of the animals will link together in a single procession.
Artwork Features In this highly expressive and passionate style Gillie and Marc have let their emotions run free in this explosive collection of freehand painting. Description In the heart of an imaginative bronze sculpture bench, Dogman and Rabbitwoman take center stage, engaged in a whimsical act of nurturing nature. Positioned between them, a bronze hippo cradles a sunflower in its sculpted form, embodying the symbiotic relationship between animals and the environment.
Rabbitwoman, with a gentle touch, pours water onto the sunflower held by the affable hippo, symbolizing the collaborative effort between different beings in fostering growth and sustenance. The scene captures a moment frozen in time, where the anthropomorphic duo and the hippo collaborate in a harmonious dance of care and nurturing.
The intentional placement of the sunflower in the hands of the hippo, coupled with Rabbitwoman's nurturing gesture, serves as a metaphor for the interconnectedness of all living things. The bench itself becomes a canvas for this delightful narrative, inviting onlookers to pause, reflect, and appreciate the delicate balance within the natural world.

About the Grevy's Zebra
The Grévy’s zebra (Equus grevyi) is the most endangered of all zebra species, native to the semi-arid grasslands of northern Kenya and southern Ethiopia. Distinguished by its narrow black-and-white stripes, large ears, and white belly, it is the largest of the zebra species and adapted to survive in dry environments where water and vegetation are scarce. Historically, Grévy’s zebras ranged widely across the Horn of Africa, but their numbers have drastically declined due to human activities.
Today, only about 2,000 individuals remain in the wild, making the Grévy’s zebra critically endangered. Its population has been severely reduced by habitat loss, competition with livestock, poaching, and droughts that limit access to water and grazing areas. Conservation programs in Kenya and Ethiopia focus on community-based wildlife management, anti-poaching patrols, and habitat restoration to protect the remaining herds. While these efforts have slowed the decline, the species’ survival still depends on sustained conservation action and protection of its fragile ecosystem.

Description A captivating bronze sculpture bench invites the public into a powerful moment of reflection and unity as an endangered grizzly bear sits firmly at one end of the bench, gazing across toward Rabbitwoman and Dogman who sit together at the opposite end. Between them lies an open space — a deliberate invitation for the public to join in, bridging the distance and completing the circle of connection. The grizzly bear, sculpted with strength and presence, symbolizes resilience and the raw majesty of nature. Its placement at one end emphasizes both its independence and its vulnerability, highlighting the delicate balance that exists between humans and wildlife. On the other end, Rabbitwoman and Dogman — Gillie and Marc’s iconic Wildlife Warriors — sit in quiet engagement with the bear. Their openness reflects guardianship, friendship, and the human responsibility to protect endangered creatures. The empty space between them becomes more than just a seat; it is a symbolic threshold where people can step into the story. By taking their place between the Wildlife Warriors and the grizzly bear, members of the public become active participants, embodying the bridge between humanity and the natural world. The Grizzly Bear Bench of Friendship transforms a simple act of sitting into a metaphor for coexistence. It reminds us that protecting wildlife is not a distant mission — it is something that requires us to sit with them, see them, and stand beside them.
Sculpture Title The Grizzly Bear Bench of Friendship
Animal Name Name goes here Conservation Status Threatened
About the Grizzly Bear The grizzly bear is a large subspecies of the brown bear found across North America, particularly in Alaska, western Canada, and parts of the northwestern United States. Known for its distinctive hump of muscle over the shoulders and its long, curved claws, the grizzly is a powerful omnivore capable of digging, fishing, and hunting. Its diet ranges from berries, roots, and insects to salmon and small mammals, allowing it to adapt to diverse environments such as forests, tundra, and mountain valleys. Grizzly bears play a crucial ecological role by dispersing seeds and maintaining healthy prey populations. However, habitat loss, human encroachment, and conflicts over livestock have significantly reduced their range. Once widespread across the Great Plains, grizzlies are now mostly confined to protected areas. Climate change is also altering food availability, particularly in regions dependent on salmon runs or alpine vegetation. Despite these challenges, conservation measures and legal protection have helped stabilize some populations, offering hope that this iconic symbol of the wilderness will continue to roam North America’s rugged landscapes.

Description In this thrilling bronze sculpture, Rabbitwoman and Dogman take to the skies in a vintage two-seater aeroplane, capturing the essence of adventure, freedom, and wild possibility. Dogman sits confidently at the front, gripping the controls, his ears swept back in the wind as he pilots the aircraft with determination. Behind him, Rabbitwoman beams with excitement, holding on tight, her spirit lifted just as high as the plane itself.
Inspired by one of Gillie and Marc’s most unforgettable adventures—soaring above the breathtaking landscapes of Kenya in a tiny aircraft—this sculpture channels that same sense of wonder and exhilaration. Africa, their favourite place in the world, offered them a new perspective from the sky: the vastness, the beauty, the absolute freedom of being suspended between earth and sky, fully exposed to the elements and surrounded by nature.
Here, Rabbitwoman and Dogman embody that unforgettable journey. With bronze wings beneath them and the wind rushing past, they are fearless and free—two best friends and lovers flying into the unknown, chasing joy with every heartbeat. It's more than a sculpture—it's a moment of pure liberation.

The Hippo and Red Wolf Race on the Bicycle (Bronze Sculpture)
Description This whimsical and captivating bronze sculpture juxtaposes the formidable presence of a hippopotamus with the playful act of riding a tandem bicycle built for three. At the front, a robust and amiable hippo takes the lead, pedaling with steadfast determination. Close behind, a spirited red wolf matches its rhythm, embodying energy and cunning. The final seat remains open for the public, an invitation to join this unlikely duo on their journey toward conservation. Together, they form a united procession—hippo, fox, and human—riding in perfect harmony to champion the survival of endangered species. The tandem bicycle, a symbol of shared effort and forward momentum, contrasts with their natural habitats, sparking reflection on the impact of human actions on wildlife. Through this imaginative scene, the artists remind us that the path to protecting these creatures is one we must travel together.
Sculpture Title The Hippo and Red Wolf Race on the Bicycle
The common hippopotamus (Hippopotamus amphibius) is a large, semi-aquatic mammal native to sub-Saharan Africa. It spends most of its time in rivers and lakes to stay cool, coming out at night to graze on grasses. Hippos are vital to freshwater ecosystems, helping cycle nutrients and shape river habitats.
Today, the species is listed as Vulnerable by the IUCN, with about 115,000 to 130,000 individuals left in the wild. Their numbers are falling due to poaching, habitat loss, and drought. Conservation efforts focus on anti-poaching patrols, habitat protection, and trade restrictions under CITES to prevent further decline.
The red wolf (Canis rufus) is a medium-sized canid native to the southeastern United States, once ranging from Texas to Florida and up to Pennsylvania. It has a reddish-brown coat, long legs, and a slender build, making it distinct from both gray wolves and coyotes. Red wolves are social animals that live in family packs and play a key ecological role as apex predators, helping control prey populations and maintain balance in their ecosystems.
The red wolf is classified as Critically Endangered by the IUCN, with fewer than 20 individuals remaining in the wild, all in eastern North Carolina. Around 250 red wolves live in captivity as part of breeding and recovery programs. Their survival is threatened by habitat loss, human conflict, and hybridization with coyotes. Conservation efforts focus on habitat restoration, public education, and reintroduction programs to rebuild wild populations and prevent the species from disappearing entirely.

Description We believe that all living things have the right to live in a world where they are safe and loved. Unfortunately, safety is often seen as a privilege rather than a right for many animals. We have always loved hippos and have sworn to protect them. On a trip to Kenya, we saw a group of hippos wallowing in the river, an incredible sight that we will never forget. As we created the stack, adding in our love of ice cream and delicious apples, it got us wondering, what would a hippo’s stack look like? It would probably include lots of food. But on the top of the stack, the thing that is most important in its heart would be the desire to be safe and loved, free to live without the never-ending loss of habitat. Let’s strive for a world where this is a hippo’s reality, not its dream.

Description This is a whimsical and captivating bronze sculpture that juxtaposes the formidable presence of a hippopotamus with the playful act of bicycle riding. The sculpture features a robust and amiable hippo, effortlessly perched on a classic two-wheeled bicycle. This sculpture serves as a light-hearted yet powerful metaphor for the often-overlooked challenges faced by hippos in the wild. By placing the hippo in such an unlikely scenario, the artist draws attention to the surprising agility and adaptability of these seemingly cumbersome creatures. The bicycle, universally recognized as a symbol of freedom and journey, contrasts with the hippo’s natural habitat, invoking thoughts about the impact of human activities on wildlife and the necessity of coexistence.

Description Here’s some food for thought!
The hippo had a problem. Her kind was known as some of the most bad-tempered and dangerous animals. But she was just a big softy. All she asked was to be given space and plenty of waterholes to wallow in. Unfortunately, the water holes are drying up and over 95% of hippos have disappeared in the DRC alone. She explained all of this to her friend Rabbitwoman over coffee and plenty of watermelons. It will take a group effort to solve her problem.
Rabbitwoman is part of the iconic hybrid duo who tell the autobiographical tale of two opposites coming together as best friends and soul mates. These beloved hybrid characters work as our conduit with wildlife, helping us find joy in nature and rekindle our connection with the wild. In the last 50 years, 70% of the world’s wildlife has been lost. We must act now to save them.
