This imagery symbolizes the harmonious coexistence of different species and the ability to overcome perceived barriers. Rabbitwoman and Dogman, iconic figures in Gillie and Marc's art, represent hybrid human-animal qualities, and their interaction with the rhino signifies the bond between humans and the natural world. The rhino, a symbol of strength and resilience, embodies the protection of endangered species and the need for conservation efforts. Together, this sculpture elicits a message of unity, empathy, and the importance of respecting and conserving our shared environment.

Description It all began with a great storm. The greatest storms always excite the mind and soul. With their unstoppable power and ruthless destruction, nothing can withstand the force of the greatest storms. There is also the mystery of the eye, the calm centre within all the chaos. Storms are fascinating and it's with a storm that Shakespeare began his famous play, 'The Tempest'.
To celebrate the namesake of an area called ‘Miranda’ in NSW Australia, Gillie and Marc designed a stunning public sculpture in everlasting bronze based on the story of 'The Tempest'. This sculpture brings the story to life in a modern and accessible way, allowing people of all ages to appreciate and understand the theme.
It's all based around the plot of the sorcerer Prospero who seeks revenge against those who banished him years earlier. Similar to the fate of Prospero himself, the magician plans to create a tempest, a great storm, to shipwreck his enemies near the very same island where he and his daughter Miranda have been stranded all these years. In this sculpture, Prospero is seen foretelling his plot to his daughter Miranda.

Description Towering above you as you walk along the street, the pap dogs have their cameras ready to capture every second of your life. The sculpture series containing the paparazzi dogs went viral in 2013, commenting on the constant obsession of society to see every tiny detail of celebrity lives, no matter what the cost. This latest sculpture shows the dogs in a new colour; green, red, and blue. The overbearing nature of the sculpture makes you think about the age we are in, the generation of social media where everyone has a constant need to photograph the tiniest details of their lives. The dogs help us to question the importance of this, are we focusing on the wrong thing? Shouldn’t we be focusing on fostering real and lasting relationships rather than posting a facade of photographs for strangers to like? We should all put down the cameras and spend time with our real amigos.

The artists, who were been deeply inspired by the love their Lost Dogs received, have now launched a new collection, giving it the ultimate and most dedicated attention. Their Diamond Dog and Ruby Rabbit resemble the Lost Animal pieces, but with an extremely fun and glamorous element added to the works. Each black or white fibreglass sculpture is embedded with magnificent coloured jewels, which glint and shine in the light. Gillie and Marc, known for their unique and captivating POP surrealist art, noticed the way that humans are attracted to things that glitter. Even in nature, we’re entranced by the way the sun dazzles off the water, by how it speckles through the trees and washes us in a feeling of joy and serenity. We aim to capture this feeling by adorning ourselves with jewellery, rhinestones, and glittery makeup. Now, Gillie and Marc have created a stunning way to bring this feeling into your home with the Diamond Dog and Ruby Rabbit. These avant-garde works of art bring movement and light into the room. They’re truly showstoppers that will bring any home to life with unique art and style!

Description Hippo Wild Ride is a monument to the endangered species across the world that need our help. ‘Love The Last’ series aims to use public art to raise awareness, funds, and support for the most vulnerable animals. Rabbitwoman and Dogman, who appear perched up on the hippo, are Gillie and Marc’s symbols of unity and acceptance. They bring people together, just as the artists bring the conservation message to you. Hippo Wild Ride is not an artwork that says do not touch, instead, copy the duo as they invite you to jump up on the interactive sculpture. Rabbitwoman and Dogman want you to sit and climb on the sculpture, and be part of the cause and mission. Use the hashtag #LoveTheLast to share a selfie with the hippo, Rabbitwoman and Dogman, and join in the conservation of these beautiful animals – before it’s too late.
Turgwe Hippo Trust considers the hippo in Hippo Wild Ride, as the most photogenic hippo, with a hairier head and light skin. Named Kuchek after conservationist Karen Paolillo’s childhood pony, this beloved animal wanted to stay with his family, refusing to leave, which is typical male bull behaviour.
As male hippos draw to maturity, they are usually driven out by their family to make way for future calves and as not to spar with the dominant bull. Kuchek, however, refused to leave and stayed with his family no matter how much they fought him (fighting is normal hippo behaviour). In her 28 years of conservation work, Paolillo has only seen this behaviour in bull hippos twice! At the age of 13, Kuchek became in charge of his own family – after his parents left – and is now the father of four calves.

In 2018, Gillie and Marc launched a tribute to the Northern White Rhino with their sculpture The Last Three, unveiled in the heart of New York City. Unfortunately, it couldn’t save Sudan, the last male of the species, who passed away just weeks after the opening of the sculpture.
Through this incredible sad period for conversation efforts, Gillie and Marc realised how the sculpture had captured the public’s attention both on the street and online.
Thousands of people had sent goodbye messages to the last three rhinos, signed the petition to crack down on the trade of illegal rhino horn; and, donated money to Ol Pejeta Conservancy to help protect the last two Northern White Rhinos and the other endangered species that call Ol Pejeta home.
