Description
At the base of this totem sits a pear, a symbol for wisdom, fertility and health in cultures around the world. All three are necessary to save the world’s endangered population of African and Asian elephants. Wisdom, above all, is needed to bring about the end of poaching and habitat destruction that are at the root of the dwindling numbers of wild elephants. The alternative is that one day, our only opportunity to see elephants may be through the lens of a camera.
