About the Exhibition
Gillie and Marc’s Paparazzi Dogs are the world’s most notorious photographers. These four bronze Dogmen have “sniffed out” the rich and famous across the globe — from Melbourne’s Federation Square, to Shanghai’s Jing’an Sculpture Park, to New York’s Greenwich Village and Rockefeller Center.

What began as an art experiment exploring the obsession with photographing celebrities has transformed into a phenomenon, with the Paparazzi Dogs becoming celebrities themselves. When the series first launched, the life-sized dogs went viral within days, drawing millions of visitors eager to be snapped alongside them. Even stars like Snoop Dogg couldn’t resist posing with the pack.

One of the world’s leading photographers, Trey Ratcliff, also visited the installation — and was famously trailed by 500 professional photographers eager to capture him with the dogs.

Interactive and thought-provoking, the series was designed to lay bare the “pack mentality” of the media, revealing how relentlessly we hunt celebrities for the perfect shot.
