This work screams the important message about Rhinos impending extinction. With only two Northern White Rhinos left alive, both of them female, conservation is more urgent than ever, if it is not already too late. Gillie and Marc remain hopeful, and keep using their work to raise awareness for the rarest animal species in the world.

About The Exhibition
The Last Three, which was installed in the heart of New York City in March 2018, depicting Najin, Fatu and Sudan, the last male Northern White Rhino has since passed away. The sculpture continues to raise critical awareness and funds needed to protect the last northern white rhinos and to encourage participation in a petition for approaching Chinese and Vietnamese governments about eliminating the demand for rhino horns.

About The Animal
We’re about to witness the imminent extinction of the northern white rhinos. From a population of 40,000, there are only 2 northern white rhinos left, making them the rarest animals on earth. Their names are Najin. and Fatu.

Rhino horns are worth more than their weight in gold, so the last 2 are under constant threat from armies of poachers. Monumental sculpture artists - Gillie and Marc - created the world's tallest rhino sculpture to inspire, educate, and mobilise a global community to raise their voices, and affect real change against rhino horn sales.

How To Help
There are a few ways you can help:

  • Donate to Ol Pejeta Conservancy: Ol Pejeta Conservancy is the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, and home to the last two Northern White Rhinos on Earth. It is a sanctuary established to rehabilitate animals rescued from the black market and the only place in Kenya to see chimpanzees. It has some of the highest predator densities in Kenya and still manages a very successful livestock program. Ol Pejeta also seeks to support the people living around its borders, to ensure wildlife conservation translates to better education, healthcare and infrastructure for the next generation of wildlife guardians. The incredible work conducted by Ol Pejeta Conservancy would not be possible without generous donations from individuals and organizations around the world. Gillie and Marc created The Last Three sculpture to raise awareness about the plight of the rhinos, and critical funds needed to protect them. Your help is desperately needed – between 24/7 security and high medical bills, it’s extremely expensive keeping Najin and Fatu alive. You can make a donation at http://www.olpejetaconservancy.org/.
  • Take a photo and share online: The sculpture is aligned with the hashtag #LoveTheLast. Visitors will be asked to take a photo with the artwork and share it with the hashtag, jump starting efforts to spread critical awareness.
