Description
In this thought-provoking painting, an endangered white rhino is depicted in a serene moment, peacefully resting atop a giant slice of lemon. The juxtaposition of the rhino and the lemon slice creates an intriguing visual contrast, inviting viewers to contemplate its deeper symbolism. The lemon, typically associated with freshness, vitality, and zest, serves as a stark reminder of the fragility and vulnerability of the rhino's existence. It symbolizes the bitter reality of the rhino's endangered status, while also representing the potential for rejuvenation and hope. The painting prompts us to reflect on the urgent need for conservation efforts and the delicate balance between the survival of endangered species and the impact of human actions on their habitats.

Artwork Features
In this highly expressive and passionate style Gillie and Marc have let their emotions run free in this explosive collection of freehand painting. Inspired by the styles of Brett Whiteley, Francis Bacon, and Jean-Michel Basquiat, Gillie and Marc have combined enamel paint with oil pastel to breathe life into the worlds most endangered species. Over the past five years, Gillie and Marc spent hours sketching and studying wildlife, travelling the globe to meet these animals up close. These sketches have now been brought to life in vibrant colour with love and passion. Each painting is created as a team with both the artists bringing their own emotion into every painting.

Please note: All canvases come stretched and ready to hang, however if you would like your painting to be framed, Gillie and Marc are happy to provide this service for you at your request. For framing enquiries please email us.
