"Sydney was Home Sweet Home" depicts a poignant scene of Rabbitwoman and Dogman, accompanied by their children, sitting together on a bench against the backdrop of Sydney Harbour Bridge, which shines with vibrant hues. The painting serves as a visual metaphor for the unity and diversity found within families and communities. Rabbitwoman and Dogman, representing different species yet united in love and companionship, symbolize the diversity of individuals coming together to form a harmonious whole. The inclusion of their son and daughter emphasizes the bonds of family and the passing of traditions from one generation to the next. The Sydney Harbour Bridge, with its iconic status and colorful illumination, represents the vibrant and dynamic city of Sydney as a cherished home, embracing diversity and fostering connections among its inhabitants.

Artwork Features
Gillie and Marc’s latest work is an exciting explosion between their painting and sculpture. With a love for both 2D and 3D work they have created a unique style of work which are in essence sculptured paintings.

Gillie and Marc spent a lot of their early creative life in Ubud, Bali. This was the home of painted wood carvings. They began to collect many Balinese wood carvings and learned how to artistically paint wood. Over the years they experimented in relief woodcuts looking to give it a contemporary feel. Much of their inspiration is looking at traditional art forms like bronze sculpture and wood carving and then creating ways to make it contemporary.

They are excited and proud to introduce their latest and favourite collection “Woodcut POP". These are carved wooden panels primed and sealed and then painted with a pop gloss enamel. These vibrant and exciting works allow the 2D paintings to fly off the wall giving excitement and dimension to wall art. Rabbitgirl and Dogman literally pop off the wall in a 3D effect. The modern explosion of colour and vibrancy is contemporary art at its cutting edge.

Galleries, collectors and corporates across the globe have already fallen in love with Woodcut POP with 10 major commissions now in progress.

Care Instructions
It is important to keep your painting out of direct sunlight and not to lean anything against the surface of the wood. If it gets dusty, it can be cleaned with a soft dry cloth.
