As they glide down the narrow cobblestone pathways, past canals glistening in the sun, the skyline of the city sprawling out before them like a painting, they feel as though nothing could be more serene or idyllic. They stop at street cafes, sipping rich espressos and nibbling on stroopwafels as they breathe in the sweet air of the city.
