Description
This black rhino is on the hunt for something delicious. He’s big and strong and knows that he will be able to overpower whatever prey he finds! It’s especially easy since he’s a vegetarian. Plants don’t often fight back. Browsing through the leafy jungle he is spoilt for choice. This is a wonderful day.
Out in the wild, there is so much to see. Diversity is abounding with colours, smells, sounds, and the indescribable feeling that something amazing will always happen.
In this series of paintings, Gillie and Marc are bringing this sensation of brilliance and wonder to life. In a contemporary expressionist style, the artists play with brushstrokes and colour, pulling the magic out of the canvas so we can truly see the iridescence of nature.
Using endangered animals as their focus, we can be transported all around the globe in a celebration of the incredible diversity to be found on planet earth. All of these animals are beautiful and precious. They deserve our respect and love. Long live wildlife!
Artwork Features
In this highly expressive and passionate style Gillie and Marc have let their emotions run free in this explosive collection of freehand painting. Inspired by the styles of Brett Whiteley, Francis Bacon, and Jean-Michel Basquiat, Gillie and Marc have combined enamel paint with oil pastel to breathe life into the worlds most endangered species. Over the past five years, Gillie and Marc spent hours sketching and studying wildlife, travelling the globe to meet these animals up close. These sketches have now been brought to life in vibrant colour with love and passion. Each painting is created as a team with both the artists bringing their own emotion into every painting.
Please note: All canvases come stretched and ready to hang, however if you would like your painting to be framed, Gillie and Marc are happy to provide this service for you at your request. For framing enquiries please email us.
Care Instructions
