Description
"Tusk, the vanishing African Elephant," is a poignant painting that conveys both the majesty and the vulnerability of one of Earth's most magnificent creatures. The painting captures a powerful African elephant, its tusks prominently displayed as it shakes its trunk while facing the camera with a captivating gaze. Behind this iconic figure, a moving silhouette in soft pastel hues unfolds, symbolizing the gradual disappearance of these awe-inspiring animals. The gentle dance of shadows serves as a visual elegy for the vanishing African elephants, emphasizing the urgency of conservation efforts. "Tusk" serves as a striking reminder of the critical need to protect these majestic beings and their habitats, prompting viewers to reflect on the interconnectedness of humanity and the natural world, urging collective action to ensure the survival of these remarkable creatures.

Artwork Features
In this highly expressive and passionate style Gillie and Marc have let their emotions run free in this explosive collection of freehand painting. Inspired by the styles of Brett Whiteley, Francis Bacon, and Jean-Michel Basquiat, Gillie and Marc have combined enamel paint with oil pastel to breathe life into the worlds most endangered species. Over the past five years, Gillie and Marc spent hours sketching and studying wildlife, travelling the globe to meet these animals up close. These sketches have now been brought to life in vibrant colour with love and passion. Each painting is created as a team with both the artists bringing their own emotion into every painting.

Please note: All canvases come stretched and ready to hang, however if you would like your painting to be framed, Gillie and Marc are happy to provide this service for you at your request. For framing enquiries please email us.
