Description
"Dash, the fading cheetah," unfolds as a captivating visual testament to the vulnerability of an endangered species. The painting captures a rare moment of stillness as a cheetah, portrayed in a seated position, faces the camera with a mix of elegance and melancholy. Behind this majestic creature, a moving silhouette in soft pastel hues delicately suggests the gradual disappearance of these incredible animals. The nuanced interplay between the cheetah's contemplative gaze and the fading shadows serves as a poignant metaphor for the diminishing population of cheetahs in the wild. "Dash" not only commemorates the beauty of this magnificent creature but also serves as a call to action, urging viewers to consider the urgent need for conservation efforts to ensure the survival of cheetahs and other endangered species in our rapidly changing world.

In this highly expressive and passionate style Gillie and Marc have let their emotions run free in this explosive collection of freehand painting. Inspired by the styles of Brett Whiteley, Francis Bacon, and Jean-Michel Basquiat, Gillie and Marc have combined enamel paint with oil pastel to breathe life into the worlds most endangered species. Over the past five years, Gillie and Marc spent hours sketching and studying wildlife, travelling the globe to meet these animals up close. These sketches have now been brought to life in vibrant colour with love and passion. Each painting is created as a team with both the artists bringing their own emotion into every painting.
