Description
"Amara, the vanishing African Elephant," paints a poignant narrative of strength and vulnerability in this evocative masterpiece. At the forefront of the canvas strides a powerful African elephant, facing the camera with majestic poise, each step exuding resilience and grace. Behind this awe-inspiring creature, a moving silhouette in soft pastel hues unfolds, symbolizing the silent departure of these magnificent animals from the wild. The subtle dance of shadows serves as a poignant metaphor, conveying the gradual disappearance of African elephants due to the myriad threats they face. "Amara" stands as both a celebration of the beauty of these majestic beings and a plea for urgent conservation, inviting viewers to reflect on the shared responsibility to safeguard the future of these extraordinary creatures and their diminishing habitats.
Artwork Features
In this highly expressive and passionate style Gillie and Marc have let their emotions run free in this explosive collection of freehand painting. Inspired by the styles of Brett Whiteley, Francis Bacon, and Jean-Michel Basquiat, Gillie and Marc have combined enamel paint with oil pastel to breathe life into the worlds most endangered species. Over the past five years, Gillie and Marc spent hours sketching and studying wildlife, travelling the globe to meet these animals up close. These sketches have now been brought to life in vibrant colour with love and passion. Each painting is created as a team with both the artists bringing their own emotion into every painting.
