Description
He Spoke Without Ever Saying a Word captures the quiet strength and contemplative presence of a gorilla seated in stillness. Set against a vivid golden-yellow background, the deep black figure is defined by expressive strokes of white, red, and orange, emphasizing the animal’s powerful form and intense gaze. The contrast between the vibrant surroundings and the gorilla’s calm expression creates a striking portrait that speaks to presence, dignity, and the unspoken connection between humans and the natural world.
Artwork Features
In this highly expressive and passionate style Gillie and Marc have let their emotions run free in this explosive collection of freehand painting. Inspired by the styles of Brett Whiteley, Francis Bacon, and Jean-Michel Basquiat, Gillie and Marc have combined enamel paint with oil pastel to breathe life into the worlds most endangered species. Over the past five years, Gillie and Marc spent hours sketching and studying wildlife, travelling the globe to meet these animals up close. These sketches have now been brought to life in vibrant colour with love and passion. Each painting is created as a team with both the artists bringing their own emotion into every painting.
Please note: All canvases come stretched and ready to hang, however if you would like your painting to be framed, Gillie and Marc are happy to provide this service for you at your request. For framing enquiries please email us.
