Description
Gillie and Marc’s bronze sculpture of Zoë Goss honours a pioneering figure in Australian women’s cricket and celebrates the generations of women who helped transform the game.
Across a career spanning almost two decades, Goss represented Australia in 65 One Day Internationals and 12 Tests, scoring more than 1,300 international runs and taking 84 wickets. She was also part of the first Western Australian women’s team to win the National Championship in 1986 and later captained WA in the Women’s National Cricket League Final.
Permanently installed at the WACA Ground, the sculpture is both a celebration of Goss’s remarkable career and a symbol of how far women’s cricket has come. It recognises the women who came before, those who changed the game, and the generations still to come.
